Forsett recorded 261 all-purpose yards, including 136 rushing, and 52 in the overtime session. The Seahawks were able to win on a 36-yard field goal by kicker Brandon Coutu.
For the Chargers, all the attention leading up to opening day seems to be on LB Shawne Merriman¡¯s injured knee. After sitting out practice earlier in the week, Merriman announced that his surgically repaired knee didn¡¯t feel right at all.
Merriman told a local newspaper that, the ongoing knee problems were a result of torn ligaments in his (left) knee. As of right now, Merriman¡¯s season is a huge question mark for the Chargers.
